So I've been doing some powerlifting to get stronger for boxing. Since I'm not actually competing due to braces I'm not worried about getting too slow just yet. Once I get to where I want to be strength wise I will start toning and working more on speed. Jump roping is my favorite cardio...I've learned a lot of the different ways to do it pretty quickly. The first week I couldn't do ten in a row, now I'm doing 600 with rests between every 100. To be honest, I don't rest because I'm out of breath, but because my feet hurt :P...I think I need different shoes. Do they make jump roping shoes? lol.
Well Best Buy is a freakin blast! Right now I'm still training, and today was actually only my second day. While you're training you wear a white polo instead of the blue Best Buy one, but it's all good. I work in the best department in the store...the home theatre department. Everyone in my department is awesome. Kenneth and Daniel are really cool. Daniel is the one training me and I've picked up on a lot of stuff. Actually, when I'm done writing this blog I'll probably add a little bit of information for anyone interested in home theatre technology.
Today at work I actually got to interact with some customers, and although Daniel cut in and took over most of the time, it was a good learning experience. I feel this job will also get me over my shyness...which essentially isn't as bad as it used to be, but when it comes to strangers, I can be a little shy, but that's no problem when I'm working.
I can't wait for Rambo to come out on January the 25th! I've seen a lot of clips and trailers and they're awesome. If you've only seen the "Bodies" TV Spots then you probably don't think much of the movie, but let me say those trailers are shit. Go watch the 3:30 long trailer on YouTube or some of the movie clips (such as the one above). Sly Stallone isn't too old to play Rambo no matter what people say. If anything, he just proves that getting old doesn't mean you need to quit.
Well that's all for now, have fun doing whatever after you read this.

P.S. And here's some Home Theatre info:
HDTV -
- If you want a TV under 40", you don't need 1080p, 720p is fine.
- Plasma's are cheaper because they're cheaper to make, not because of picture quality. They also have a glossy screen because Plasma screens are made of gas, which only a glass screen can hold in.
- LCDs are nonglare except for some of the higher contrast ratios (15000:1).
- Many customers want HDTVs but don't have anything HD. Your TV is like a picture frame, you're only going to see what you put into it, meaning if you're running standard cable/satellite, having an HDTV won't make it look any better than the old ass TV your replacing.
- Sony has a hybrid HDTV with both DLP and LCD technology.
- Klipsch is better than Bose. Nine out of ten theatres use Klipsch speakers, because the speaker is made out of polyurethane, a material that won't warp over time and reduce sound quality. Klipsch are also cheaper than Bose.
- Many customers think the amount of watts determines a speaker's audio capability. Not the case, in fact, more watts most likely means crappier speakers. The Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) determines the clarity of the speakers. The lower the THD, the better sounding your speakers are. Also, OHMs determines it too. Usually the higher the OHMs the better the sound quality. You also want to look at the amount of decibels. The small Klepsch speaker produces 90 decibals...which is really good for its size. Larger one produce up to 98 decibels.
- Blu-Ray has 70% of movie studios behind them.
- HD-DVD is still cheaper...
- ...but, Blu-Ray has won the format war...
- ...unless HD-DVD can pull a high definition miracle out of their ass.
- You need an HDMI cable to get 1080p. In fact, some HDMI cables aren't even good enough...you need to get the Monster 600 series and up to get full 1080p. Monster HDMI goes up to a 1000 series. Think of it this way 600 series compared to 1000 series is like a two lane road compared to a six lane.
- Many people think a simple surge protector will keep their shit safe. Think again. What you need is a line conditioner. The regulates ALL voltage at an even 120 volts, causing everything to be clearer, and keeping all your electronics safe. These can cost up to almost $200...but the better they are the longer they'll last, because they're like a sponge..they can only soak up so much before they need replaces.
