Yesterday (Friday) was a fun day. It was especially good since Thursday was a drag, and was so far the worst day this school year. Only one good thing came out of my Thursday. We had our home meet at King Jack Park for Cross Country. It was a small meet, but Carl Junction was there along with McDonald Country, Seneca, and a few other schools, so it was a pretty small meet. However, the Webb City XC team came in 1st place, the team's first time to win a meet in four years. I came in 18th place, which means I was only three places away from medaling.
Friday was better though. We had our Friday morning practice and ran three repeat miles at a 5:50 pace. Our goal was 5:30, but that was impossible seeing as how we just had our meet the previous day. AP Biology and AP Chem weren't as boring or as terrible as they usually are, and homeroom was okay. Sociology was pretty fun though. We're going over personality and characteristics and all that. We all have our "sociology buddy" that sits next to us and we have to ask five different people what they think of that person personality-wise. I wonder what people will say about me. My "buddy" is Amanda Reasoner. She's pretty, and I don't know her all to well, but she seems nice. So far people have said she's "nice", "outgoing", and "shy"...so I need two more and I'm done with that assignment.
Adv. Math and Trig was alright. Mrs. Adair says that because of my deep voice I need to be one of the announcers, and that I have an authoritative voice. After math I went and lifted in the weight room. It was a pretty good workout, but I got the new Men's Health magazine so I think I'm going to mix it up a bit. I'm also going to cut back on the Oreo shakes...after this weekend is over. When I got done with lifting I went out into the cafeteria and did all my homework. Since we had a XC meet on Tuesday and Thursday it really put me back on my homework, so I had gotten no sleep during the week. I figured I might as well get it out of the way now so I can enjoy my weekend.
After doing my homework Ryan picked me up and we went to Bethany Roy's birthday party. The food was good...but I think all food is good. Coach Butler cooked the hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, and they were delicious. I didn't have my swim shorts with me so I didn't swim. The cross country team's managers were trying to get me to swim, but I think they were just trying to get my shirt off...seriously. One of them was pretty much hanging on me all night. I'm still unsure if I enjoyed the attention or not, but I can tell you right now that I wasn't used to it.
After the birthday party Ryan took me to my house and we got the Xbox 360 and Saw III. I stayed at his house all night with his two little brothers and Andrew. We played a little bit of Gears of War and Ghost Recon, but I mostly just sat back and watched. After they played the 360 Ryan, Andrew, and I watched Saw III. I'd already seen it, so I fell asleep pretty early on.
This morning we had donuts which were nice and fresh; still warm. I came home, and here I am writing this blog and watching Shaun of the Dead on Comedy Central. Tonight I plan on staying up as long as I can and sleeping in tomorrow.
That's all for now,
Seal
