Not a lot has happened really. The release of Rambo draws nearer so that's exciting. It's almost Christmas as well as my birthday! Best Buy hasn't called about my orientation, so I've been worried that they've been blowing me off. It may be because of the weather; it's been sleeting and snowing for the past week and we were out of school Monday through Wednesday of last week.
I haven't lifted weights or exercised in awhile, because I depend a lot on the weight room at school and since I haven't had a full week of school in four weeks I haven't been consistent. Tomorrow I start training for boxing, which in my opinion should have started earlier, but seeing as how I don't compete yet then it's fine. For a couple months I'm going to powerlift to build strength and density to my muscles. I'll be waking up early to get on the heavy bag, speed bag, and jump rope, and in the afternoon will powerlift and perhaps do a little bit of running.
Other than that it's been the same-old same-old, so have a good day,

Best Buy
So my week's been pretty good despite me getting a cold. Actually to be honest the only good thing that happened was getting a job at Best Buy, and what's even better, it's in the home theater department! HDTVs and surround sound systems are my thing!
Actually since Thanksgiving break started I haven't been working out or eating right, so I feel like crap. I got a cold which has been off and on all week causing me to miss Monday and Thursday of school.
Well, I don't feel like writing anymore, so have a good day

Emancipation
So some things have happened in the past week that have put me back on track and will make life a lot easier. First off, I got my driver license just a month shy of my 17th birthday. About damn time. Fuck. I thought I'd never get that thing. I also got a new cell phone. It's pretty sweet; it's called the G'zOne (geez - one) by Casio.
We changed from AT&T to Verizon because AT&T was going to charge us extra to change our plan. We were paying $150 a month and last month we used a whole 7 minutes, so my mom told them to forget about it, and we switched to Verizon wireless, and I have to say I love the new phone. My phone meets military requirements; it's very rugged, very durable, waterproof, sandproof, whatever-proof. I read a review, and the guys tested it in whatever way they could. They slammed it on concrete and it held up, they made calls underwater and could here the other person just fine, and even the bluetooth worked while it was in a vase full of water. They also put it in a bag of flour, shook it up, washed it off, and it worked fine. It's kind of bulky, but nothing that'll get in the way. It's grown on me a lot, and it even has a flashlight.
Moving on to me getting my license. I was glad I didn't get the old hag that has a personal vendetta against every teenager trying to get their license. I got this pretty cool cop, Byers I think was his name. The first thing I did when I backed up was run over the little curb in the parking lot that had the flowers and shit in them. Yeah...not a good start, but it was funny, because he was like, "I know this is a Jeep, but lets keep the off roadin to a minimum." It was great. Nonetheless I passes by three points (73) and got my license. I think considering it was raining, early, and I was driving a standard stick shift, he went a little easier on me. I parallel parked for the first time ever and passed, and I'd only been told how to do it once.
The day I got my license I drove from my house in Webb to Grove, Oklahoma to see my grandma. Then the next day went to my cousin's house in Seneca and to my brother's in Pittsburg. I had Thanksgiving at my cousin's house, and it was pretty damn good. Then again, all food to me is godly. I think if I was granted one superpower it would be the ability to summon any type of food right in front of me, and it would be perfectly cooked or made or processed or whatever. On Friday my sister and her boyfriend, Dan, drove my brother and I up to Derby, Kansas with them to see our dad for Thanksgiving. Lori prepared some good smoked turkey, and my bro and I both agree it was better than the turkey our grandma's had made us.
After going back to Pittsburg my brother and I came back to my house and here we are; it's his turn on the Xbox playing Call of Duty 4, and I'm writing about my life and how getting a new phone and a driver license is the most exciting thing that will happen in my life until I get a job, which will be soon now that I'm driving. Well, I'm going to go now.

Mouse Hunt
It's back. Today I saw the mouse with the little white spot on its back. It's an elusive little bastard. I've trapped it twice and it comes back for more. It's amazing how smart mice are, as if brain size matters, psht! Why do you think they use mice in labs? Exactly. So this persistent little prick is living beneath my kitchen sink. I'm afraid I'm left out of options -- it must die.
Other than that my day's been pretty good. School was okay, and I'm really starting to get the picture of what boxing is going to be like this year. Yesterday I woke up at 430am, ran 3.1 miles and then lifted for an hour. Today after school I came home and did six rounds on the heavy bad, and then ran seven miles. I don't know what really got over me, I got done with the punching bag and just felt like running! I didn't even get a shirt or take my hand wraps off; I just went. I ran all the way to my school and up Aylor hill, an almost 90 degree hill by the way, and then ran all the way to the bridge, which requires I go down this really curvy road that's all down hill. But that only means the whole way back is uphill. It was a nice workout. I came home, ate a nice meal, and am now watching I Robot.
Anyway, I have to go now. I hope you find fun in whatever you do, because God knows how bored you must be to be reading this.

Cardinals
I haven't updated my blog, and seeing as how I have some time to kill I might as well. It'll be hard to remember everything that's happened in the past two weeks.
The week after districts I started lifting more; not to bulk up or anything, but I was starting to feel a little weak from cross country practice and doing minimal lifting every week. Last Friday I volunteered at Eugene Field Elementary, which was fun. It really is amazing to be around kids that young, because you notice some things. You remember how fun it was being a kid, innocent and ignorant. Most of them haven't even realized the concept of conformity, seeing as there were some very extreme kids. One kid had a rock-hard mo-hawk that was pretty sweet. There a lot of shy kids, which reminded me of myself. I don't blame them I suppose, seeing as how I probably look really big to them since I'm a junior in high school.
I can remember when I was little. The main thing I remember was everything was much bigger. A room which I would find small now would be a mansion to a six year old me. I remember way back in the day -- way, way back in the day -- before I moved to Texas and still lived in Webb City, my cousins, Clay, went to this daycare called Pinocchio's on Main Street. When I think back I remember walking in with my grandma to pick up my cousin, and looking way up at the ceiling. In my mind I remember it being at least twenty feet high, but every time I drive by it it's not larger than small bedroom, with ceilings I could bump my head on if I were to jump.
This is just one example that I find funny. Tonight there's another carnival for the kids at my high school, but because I thought it was taking place somewhere where I needed a ride I told Mrs. Rose that I couldn't make it. When I found out it was at the high school it was too late to be able to volunteer to help. I wish I'd known sooner; I really enjoyed working with the little ones and their bright faces...it kind of makes you forget about all the troubles in life, but this may be something you'd have to experience for yourself before you knew what I was talking about.
Anyway, after last Friday's volunteer work we went to Rachel's house. She has a really nice house with an awesome theater room. I mean she has theater reclining seats, free candy and popcorn, a mini-fridge...everything. Not to mention the wall projector with projects about a 60-70" picture. I took The Shining with Jack Nicholson, one of his best movies ever. Personally, when he goes crazy it cracks me up, especially when we first realize "Okay, this guy is freakin losing it, beat him over the head with that baseball bat already." The best part is when he says, "I'm not gonna hurt ya. Windy. Darling. Light -- of my life. I'm not gonna hurt ya. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I said, 'I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just gonna bash your brains in.' I'm just gonna bash them right the fuck in..he he he." Hysterical! And if you think I'm nuts I'm sure you're guilty of laughing at at least one inappropriate moment.
Another thing that I thought was funny was that a few of the girls we were with thought I could be related to Windy. Yes. That weird looking, goofy teethed woman that played Jack's wife. I hope to God I don't resemble her that much....maybe it was just the big eyes. Hopefully.
After that the weekend slumped and then the week was worse. All year long the Webb City Cardinal football team went undefeated; 10-0. Then, come districts, we lose our first game by one point to our most hated rivals every, Carthage. They hadn't beaten us in twenty years (which comes out to about 22 games), and we were on a 40-something winning streak. Talk about a kick to the nuts. Honestly though, I feel like we needed it. You haven't truly won until you've lost, and after never losing a game our football team was getting pretty big-headed. I just feel sorry for the seniors who didn't get to go to state this year. Carthage was really rude too. Sure, you had your usual celebration, but they cussed at some of our managers and tore down our student banners and ripped them up on the field. Not only that, but their band walked on Landon after he missed the pass and was still laying on the field. Total disrespect. They didn't even get to shake hands after the game.
The next day at school was like a funeral. A fist fight broke out in one of the homerooms between a couple of sophomores who were blaming each other for the loss. I have to say those sophomores don't even know; they have two years left to get to state.
Anyway, that's been about it. After Ryan gets done with volunteering at the carnival he's picking me up and we're going to Rachel's again to watch Se7en, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. It's pretty much one of the best, if not the best crime thriller ever made. If you haven't seen it, you truly are missing out on a great cinematic adventure.
Have a fantastic weekend,

Movie Night
This weekend has gone by too fast, but it's been pretty fun. It started off with a football game and free food on Friday night, districts and movies on Saturday night, and then church this morning and here we are.
Friday was actually a pretty crappy day until the football game. Webb City played Neosho and we killed them, 44 to 7. They actually scored early on, and it came out of freakin' nowhere, but after that they had nothing on us. When the football game ended I headed into the school cafeteria for 5th quarter, an FCA thing which was pretty fun. The cookies and brownies were delicious, but there wasn't any milk, so yeah...it could've been better with milk. There was worship which was fun; I had no idea Goggins was a drummer.
Saturday was a pretty long day. I woke up at 730, had breakfast and headed over to the school. We had our cross country districts race in Nevada. Everyone was feeling good and ready, even Ryan, whose knee had been hurting him because his hip was uneven AND he'd had a rash all over his body the night before and had to go to the ER. Hance was also looking forward to finally going to state, and he especially wanted to go as a team. We got there, and the first race was the girl's varsity. Bethany Roy got second place, automatically getting her a spot at state. Boys varsity ran second, and we started off great. Our mile times were right where we wanted them (5:45 for me), but something happened. The medications Ryan took for his rash caused him to fall back and everything fell apart. We ended up getting 5th out of 6th place! Hance didn't even get to go to state, which really sucked, because he deserved it more than anyone there.
That night I went to Ryan's and a bunch of people came over to watch some scary movies for Halloween. The movies weren't actually scary, but they were Halloween classics. So there where about 13 of us; Ryan, Whitney, Laun (foreign exchange student...don't know how to spell her name), Sam, Justin "JK" Kidston, Logan "L-Dub" Walker, Goggins, and Lyndi. We watched Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. Halloween is probably the most classic horror movie ever, but everyone thought it was retarded. First off, I was surprised no one had seen it but me...I mean do people live in a cave or something? They show that movie 20 times every year during Halloween. The whole time we watched Halloween we were crackin jokes, but the funniest thing came from Goggins when we watched Nightmare on Elm Street. If you've seen it, maybe you remember when Johnny Depp's character got pulled into his bed all the blood sprayed out from the bed and filled the room. Well someone mentioned blood donations and Goggins didn't even miss a beat, he said "Congratulations, you've just completed all your community service hours." It was the best. I only wish people were more open minded and could appreciate those movies for what they were...I mean, they only paved the road for the kind of horror movies we watch today.
Anyway, this morning we went to church and ironically I'm now watching The Exorcist. I have to go now, so have a good day.

The Fight
Last Sunday was kind of boring; all I did was sit at home and watch movies. One of the movies I watched was The Bourne Identity, because I'm reading the book. Some people who know me know how I love knowing self-defense moves and such, and someday I'd love to learn jujitsu, which is a less formal self-defense that Bruce Lee founded and made it into sort of a mixed martial arts. Anyway, I was watching Matt Damon on-screen and even though it was all choreographed I couldn't help but think, "I really want to do that to someone some day."
I like boxing, but street fighting just isn't my thing. It's pointless, proves nothing, and is a waste of time and energy, so if someone puts me in a situation where I absolutely have to fight them, no question about it, I want to take them out quickly with as much pain as possible, because I want them to learn the first time that they don't want to fight me again. I know this isn't always the case, because you win some and lose some; trust me, I know. So I went onto Youtube and looked up self-defense/street fighting moves. I found a few videos that were pretty cool; from Sensei Anthony Britton, a jujitsu champion, and UFC champion Bas Rutten. There's too many videos to actually put in my blog so I'm going to list my favorite ones below:
Bas Rutten Self-Defense - "I don't believe in an eye for an eye. I believe in two eyes for an eye."
Anthony Britton - Vital Striking Points (this one is very good, even though I knew most of them)
Anthony Britton - Choke Hold Release (I hate choke holds so I love this move)
Anthony Britton - Advanced Choke Hold Release
Anthony Britton - Loop Choke Submission (choke a person who is on top of you with their own clothes)
ExpertVillage - Disarm an attacker with a gun (very good video, but timing is everything)
Lijun Wang - Gun Disarm #1
Lijun Wang - Gun Disarm #2
Lijun Wang - Punch Counter Attack (also pretty cool, but time is everything)
...and that's pretty much it for anyone interested. That's not all, however, I've saved the most important video for last.
If you want more just Google Video/Youtube "self-defense tips" or whatever.

Wolfman
So the day was pretty boring. Woke up at around 10am and got on my laptop; I listened to music, watched a few movies, talked to some people on MSN Messenger. Overall it was boring. It wasn't until about 8pm that things picked up a bit.
Anthony Hance just turned 18, so a surprise party was arranged for him at King Jack Park. Ryan picked me up at around 8 o'clock and we headed over there. It was pretty cool. There was a band that played some good music, I knew more than a few of the people who also went, and the giant birthday cookie was the most delicious thing I'd had all day. After the party a few of us were going spookhousing.
We left at 930 and met up with some other people in front of Big Lots. There were about fifteen of us, so it was fun. Of the fifteen I knew Ryan, Emily, Kelsey, Andrew, Josh, L-Dub, and Bethany. When we got there they were all waiting for us, and no one could decide on which spook house to go to. Initially they'd decided to go the The Gates of Hell, but when we finally got there the place was basically a shed, and for $10 it didn't seem worth it. Not to mention everyone coming out kept saying how stupid it was.
Ryan finally talked some of the girls to drive out to Wolfman House of Screams. They didn't want to go because they lived in Joplin, and Wolfman was out between Pittsburg and Oronogo. When we got there we got our tickets and waited in a half-lit, hot, crowded room...but it wasn't as bad as it sounds. When we finally got in there it was dark, and the whole thing was like a big maze. It took us about 20 minutes to get through, and our group was me, of course, Andrew, Emily, Kelsey, Bethany, and another girl who's name I didn't catch. Anyway, Kesley quit half-way through lol, and more than half the time either Bethany or Emily were holding onto me. To be honest I never really got scared, but there were a lot of neat things in there. It was solid entertainment well worth the $8 admission ticket. I tried to get Aleigha to come with us earlier, but I didn't get a hold of her before I left to see if she wanted to go.
Well, now I'm going to read my book to get that over with (damn CAIII) and watch The Omen. I've seen the original one, but I've heard this one is pretty good, so it looks like I'm going to be up until 3 tonight again.
Don't Worry, Be Happy -- psht!
Today was a pretty crummy day. I won't say why exactly, but it's just a lot of the little things that add up and at the end of the day you just feel overwhelmed. I think my problem is that I really look too deeply into things and misinterpret them in a lot of ways, because it's obvious that we can't see all sides of the equation, and because of this limited perspective we often make things out to be worse than they really are.
Last December, right before Christmas, was my birthday. I went with my brother and sister up to Derby, Kansas to visit my dad, but I ended up missing my birthday party at home. Well, since my phone is a piece of crap it was hard to get a hold of anyone, so the whole ride home I was sick to my stomach, because I knew I'd let a lot of people in my family down. This was a yearly thing for us too; everything was planned out, and I missed it! Well, my dad said something that was a little calming, "Don't worry, things are never as bad as they seem."
The more I think about that the more I seem to apply it to daily life. I also thought about how that could actually be true, and it's not hard to figure out or anything, but I figure I'll share it with you anyway. When we get ourselves into deep shit, or just simply worry and worry about something, no matter how small that thing is, we over exaggerate the situation in our heads to the point that when we finally face reality it's not as bad as we were expecting. I see it as a good thing, because if things were as bad as they seem, then life would suck.
I admit that I'm very fortunate, but it's always the more important things you worry about most. Although I may be fortunate, I also believe that if luck truly does exist, then a person only experiences so much of it before their luck stops for a little bit, and they go through a lot of crap. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places for the answer to my problems, but I definitely feel like my luck is running out for a little while. Hopefully things will turn around before the week ends and things will get better.
Anyway, just thought I'd get that out, even though no one knows what I'm talking about, hopefully you can relate in some way.
Have a good day/night (as always),

D-Day -2 weeks
So we're about two weeks away from districts in cross country and I've been running into a string of bad luck as far as injuries go. They're all minor injuries, but it doesn't take much to hinder a person from running.
So my week has been going really good actually despite my leg troubles. Last weekend got really boring after the Webb City vs. Pittsburg football game; I actually got so bored it hurt...literally. Am I the only person who can get so bored that they get a not in their stomach, the type of not you get when you see a dog get run over? Well, let me tell you, it sucks, but I somehow tolerate it pretty well (seeing as how my house hasn't caught on fire yet, or the fact that I haven't started riding the laundry basket down the stairs). Monday was a pretty good day though. School gave me something to do, and it was a nice and rainy day which kept me peaceful.
Today was also a pretty good day, I don't know why, it's just a feeling I'm left with at the end that makes me feel -- what's a good word? -- happy. However, cross country doesn't seem to be going too well. Yesterday we ran Aylor hill to Carl Junction road and back to the school...three times (6 miles). Aylor hill always screws me up somehow; first it was my knee, now it's my hip flexor. Coach B says he might put me in the swimming pool tomorrow so I can still get a good workout, but I'll be healthy for our meet at Neosho on Thursday.
Gosh my life is boring, I feel sorry for the poor souls actually reading this crap. I remember some of my first blogs I at least attempted to be humorous, but nowadays I'm just too pooped to give a crap.
Well, have a good day...since I lack in humor I'll make up for it with this video,

Homecoming
So today, technically yesterday, was pretty fun. School was okay, and lifting weights after school was the usual, blah, blah, blah.
After school I waited in the cafeteria and sat with Brian Lovejoy while we ate some left over cookies from the Carl Junction cross country meet we had Thursday (we beat CJ by 50 points). At around 4:30 my brother picked me up at the high school, and his friend Zach was with him. We went back to my house and they played a little bit of Halo 3. After awhile it got boring so we went to Wendy's.
Maybe I haven't been to Wendy's in a long time, but they have frosties now with M&Ms and Oreos! So I was stoked; I got the nuggets and oreo frosty...it was very delicious. After that we went to the football game, one of Webb City's biggest games of the season actually, against Pittsburg. Since my brother is from Pitt he went and sat in the student section on his side while I roamed around for the first half of the game trying to find someone I could hang with.
I finally found some cross country guys and sat with them and watched us beat Pittsburg 14 to 6...oh yes. Take that, Purple Dragons! After that was the homecoming dance, pretty much the lamest thing ever. The music sucked, and...it just sucked. The best part was when Bethany Roy danced with her dad (and, boy, can they dance), and when they showed the music video to Thriller. After Thriller, Ryan, Andy, Andrew, and I went to Rachel's house and watched most of Braveheart in their nice theater room. Nice, comfy, reclining movie seats, a big screen, candy, soda, and a popcorn machine; this family doesn't even need to go to a theater.
Well, that was it. I know it probably doesn't sound too interesting, but that's just because I'm too tired to give a rat's ass about making it interesting...so have a good day/night.

I Wish I Was Jr. High Girl
So today school was good, but you're probably more interested in why I chose to title this blog the way I did.
Today after school my knee was feeling fine; I was ready to run despite the fact we were doing ten yassos, and not meeting our time may result in repeating them. I did my one mile warm-up and stretched with everyone. Coach had us run at 2:40 pace (that's one mile in 5:40!), and around the third yasso my knee started hurting again. By the sixth one I was falling behind to much so coach sent me to put ice on it. I'm glad I still got to do six though, but I hate cutting practices short like that, even if it was for the better.
Brian was up getting ice on his hip, or hamstring...I forget. We talked a little bit and I'm thinking about wrestling this season, but I doubt I will. It all depends on how I feel after Cross Country season ends. If we go to state then wrestling starts the week after cross country ends, and I'm still pretty sure I'm going to train for boxing again.
After talking we walked back down and the Jr. High girls only had to do 4 yassos...and I was thinking, "Wow, they think doing four is hard? They have it easy. I wish I was them."
Well, that's pretty much it.
Have a good one,

Fun Run
School was alright today. I was pretty tired in first hour, but as soon as Aleigha pulled the grapes out of her purse I was wide awake! I love grapes by the way. Spanish 3 was fun, we didn't really do much and I did my English homework. Only bad thing was we got homework. Third and fourth hour were different however. The muscle relaxer I took last night for my leg was still in effect, and I was feeling a little sick, as if I were sleep deprived. My head felt like it was going to burst, eyes felt like they were being sucked back into my skull, and everything was moving really slowly.
I still lifted weights after school though, and that made me feel a little better. My knee hurt from our Monday run and meet we had yesterday, so Coach put me in the Wellness Center where I pretty much did nothing but stretch and do push-ups and crunches. It was boring, and the worst part about it was that everyone else got to go on a fun run. So I pretty have the worst timing in the world to be hurting. Tomorrow's practice is going to suck! We're starting our districts training so it's going to be nothing but speed work.
After practice Coach talked to us about after school Friday. We're all going over to his house in the evening and camping out all night with s'mores, Guitar Hero and Halo, and other fun stuff. I could care less about the video games. Guitar Hero is fun, but there's going to be so many people it won't be as fun. Josh was talking about Halo 3 like it was his idle of worship. If I remember correctly he said it was "like losing your virginity" once you've played it. No offense to him, but I don't think he knows what that's like to begin with. Neither do I, but still...I thought it was kind of funny.
Saturday morning we get to wake up at 6am and go set up for the community 5k race for the Mining Days festival. My Spanish teacher actually has a rock band that's going to be playing at the festival, but I think I'll just go home after we set up and sleep some more.
Well, that was my day.
Hope you had a better day than me,

East Newton
Today was a pretty good day; lunch was good and that's always a good sign. I woke up late today...again. It actually isn't that bad waking up at 6:20am but it causes me to rush through breakfast because I have to walk almost a mile to school. Anyway, I had a good breakfast and proceeded to school, bla, bla, bla.
First hour was okay, but oh my God AP Chemistry was unbelievable! I took the hardest test in my life; it was even harder than my AP Biology test, which I got a 19 out of 40 on. So after I got done feeling retarded I went to Sociology and had some fun. We had our assignments where our sociology buddies had asked five other people of what they thought of us. The people I asked about Amanda Reasoner said she was nice, shy, quiet, outgoing, and outgoing. Now here's what people said about me, if I can remember correctly; shy, hard to talk to because I'm shy, caring once you get to know me, takes time to open up to new people, and thinks he's too good to talk to "me". Whoever said that last one I'm curious about, because the last thing going through my head is "Oh, I'm too good to talk to your lame ass, so get away."
Fourth hour was alright, Adv. Math and Trig isn't exactly a class one would ever call "fun". I got to leave a whopping ten minutes early so I could get ready for the bus ride to our meet in East Newton. It was a short 40 minute drive, and my Zune mp3 player died so I was kinda bummed about that. When we got there it pouring down rain and thundering like no other. The biggest bolt of lightning ever came down not too far away, like God himself was striking down. We all got our hopes up that the meet would get canceled, but it didn't, which was okay because it was good running weather and East Newton's course is flat as hell. The biggest hill was maybe five feet and it was at a pretty small incline. It nearly killed me...especially comparing to Monett's "hill" which is actually nicknamed "The Hill", famous for its near 90 degrees incline. Yeah, I'm kidding if you can't tell.
I beat my personal record of 19:19 (from the MSSU Stampede race) by one whole second! So my time, if you're pretty good at math, was 19:18. I know I could've done a lot better if my knee didn't feel like a hinge with two rusty screws on either side. The last 100 meters killed me! I felt it before the race but knew coach would pull me out if I told him, so I kept my mouth shut and did particularly good considering the circumstances.
After the race we had Subway and Famous Amos cookies. I took two bags of cookies, to no surprise for the people who know me well enough. On the bus rife home Josh sat on a cupcake that we all got for our team's manager's birthday. It was hilarious! We call him sweet cheeks now. Well, that's pretty much it for today, I'm going to try to get some sleep now.
Have fun doing whatever,

Olive Garden + Sonic = I feel sick
My weekend was pretty good, with Bethany's birthday party on Friday, a relaxing Saturday, and a fulfilling Sunday. Saturday night I returned Zodiac and Saw III to the Movie Gallery and then proceeded to get a Mocha Frapp. from Starbucks. While driving through the Starbucks drive-thru I noticed Rachel Young sitting with Ryan and Todd inside, so I went and said hello.
They were having a STUCO (Student Council) meeting, so I put in the request for a Golden Gloves boxing program at our highschool. Ryan, however, pretty much pointed out how impossible it would be. Anyway, we all sat and talked for a while and a few other people I knew came in, so it was fun.
Today I went to church with Ryan, which was cool. I don't go to church regularly but it's something I know I should do, so I think I'll start doing that. After church I only had a couple hours of downtime before my aunt picked me up to go to my cousin's basketball game at the Overtime Gym by Braum's. They lost their first game by one point, which was made in the last 20 seconds, and won the second game by 5 or 7 points, despite the other team having two towering black guys who dunked pretty much every shot.
Between the two games was a little over an hour to kill, so we all went to Books-A-Million. I was disappointed that they didn't have either Sly Moves or The Wheelman, and was about to give up on that book store all together until I saw Sly Moves in the bargain bin shelf. It's Sylvester Stallone's fitness book, which is actually a pretty good read. In the beginning he talks a little bit about himself and some training methods he used for the Rocky and Rambo movies, explaining how he actually over trained and how it was unnecessary. I find that funny, because over the summer I'd actually found his split-routine workout program he used for Rambo 2 and used it. I got some good results, but like he said it was overkill. I flipped ahead to the actual exercise part of the book and was surprised to see a few weight lifting exercises I'd never seen before.

So it seems I've found an answer to my problem of trying to figure out how to mix things up in the gym. I can't wait to try some new things out tomorrow after school in the football players' weight room. After buying Sly's book my uncle, aunt, cousin, mom, grandma, and I went to Olive Garden for my grandma's birthday. It was delicious! I had the chicken parmigiana and on the way home got myself the last hot fudge oreo shake from Sonic I'll have for a while. See, even though I'm running, I still need to cut back on the unhealthy food so I'm taking action starting tomorrow.
Well, I pretty much made myself sick with all the food, and thank God I can actually go to bed early tonight because I did all my homework on Friday!
Have a good day/night

P.S. I hope you guys like the music playlist I added...I should be updating it soon, but decided to go ahead and put it up early just to see if it would work. Pretty nifty if you ask me.

The Weekly Seal - My New News Blog
Okay, so I made a new blog. I've decided to keep Seal's Zone more of a personal blog; I guess you could call it a journal.
My new blog is here. It's basically just going to be about current events and movie news, and then I'll write my thoughts on it. I know the news can be boring, so I'll try to keep it interesting. The only thing that people will probably find boring is the presidential election coming up, but I'm going to keep tabs on that for me and anyone interested since it's sort of a big thing.
Other news will probably contain funny news, extraordinary news, or just any news I see worth talking about.
I'll even keep my movie reviews in here if I see a particularly good or bad movie I feel the need to tell people about. That's it for now. I guess we'll just have to see how my new blog develops.
Have a good day,
Seal
P.S. Here's something to make you laugh.

B-Roy's B-Day
Yesterday (Friday) was a fun day. It was especially good since Thursday was a drag, and was so far the worst day this school year. Only one good thing came out of my Thursday. We had our home meet at King Jack Park for Cross Country. It was a small meet, but Carl Junction was there along with McDonald Country, Seneca, and a few other schools, so it was a pretty small meet. However, the Webb City XC team came in 1st place, the team's first time to win a meet in four years. I came in 18th place, which means I was only three places away from medaling.
Friday was better though. We had our Friday morning practice and ran three repeat miles at a 5:50 pace. Our goal was 5:30, but that was impossible seeing as how we just had our meet the previous day. AP Biology and AP Chem weren't as boring or as terrible as they usually are, and homeroom was okay. Sociology was pretty fun though. We're going over personality and characteristics and all that. We all have our "sociology buddy" that sits next to us and we have to ask five different people what they think of that person personality-wise. I wonder what people will say about me. My "buddy" is Amanda Reasoner. She's pretty, and I don't know her all to well, but she seems nice. So far people have said she's "nice", "outgoing", and "shy"...so I need two more and I'm done with that assignment.
Adv. Math and Trig was alright. Mrs. Adair says that because of my deep voice I need to be one of the announcers, and that I have an authoritative voice. After math I went and lifted in the weight room. It was a pretty good workout, but I got the new Men's Health magazine so I think I'm going to mix it up a bit. I'm also going to cut back on the Oreo shakes...after this weekend is over. When I got done with lifting I went out into the cafeteria and did all my homework. Since we had a XC meet on Tuesday and Thursday it really put me back on my homework, so I had gotten no sleep during the week. I figured I might as well get it out of the way now so I can enjoy my weekend.
After doing my homework Ryan picked me up and we went to Bethany Roy's birthday party. The food was good...but I think all food is good. Coach Butler cooked the hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, and they were delicious. I didn't have my swim shorts with me so I didn't swim. The cross country team's managers were trying to get me to swim, but I think they were just trying to get my shirt off...seriously. One of them was pretty much hanging on me all night. I'm still unsure if I enjoyed the attention or not, but I can tell you right now that I wasn't used to it.
After the birthday party Ryan took me to my house and we got the Xbox 360 and Saw III. I stayed at his house all night with his two little brothers and Andrew. We played a little bit of Gears of War and Ghost Recon, but I mostly just sat back and watched. After they played the 360 Ryan, Andrew, and I watched Saw III. I'd already seen it, so I fell asleep pretty early on.
This morning we had donuts which were nice and fresh; still warm. I came home, and here I am writing this blog and watching Shaun of the Dead on Comedy Central. Tonight I plan on staying up as long as I can and sleeping in tomorrow.
That's all for now,

Personal Records
So Tuesday (I think) we had our Monett meet for XC and I PRed with a 5k time of 20:24. Today we had our MSSU Stampede meet and I PRed once again with a 5k time of 19:19, shedding more than one minute off my time! Now there are some very obvious factors to why I did better, such as it was less hilly and the weather was good for running.
Speaking of good weather, there's a nice thunderstorm going on right now, despite the news saying there's 40% chance of rain. It feels good, but it's a little chilly to be honest. It's weird how just last week it was hot as hell and now I'm freezing my ass off. I remember the good ol' days where I had a few layers of flab to insulate me and I could stand cold weather better, but now it just sucks because with XC I've gotten rid of all that. This winter will be fun (/sarcasm), but the cold will be good for my boxing training. Winter is definately on it's way.
I've been thinking about my boxing training lately and not sure what to do. Last year I never ran, which was dumb, but I hated running. Actually, the reason I joined XC was make myself like running, because with me wanting to join the Marines and do boxing I'd need to learn to love it. When I started running in the summer I weighed 160lbs. and in two to three weeks I got down to 140lbs. and I've been a steady 140-143lbs. since then.
Anyway, about my boxing training; XC ends mid-November if we go to State, so I'll probably get a head start instead of waiting for new years like I did last year. Also, unlike last year, I need to up the intensity a bit. I'm starting to think that what I did last year could hardly be called boxing compared to what I want to do. Let's see, last year my training was hitting the punching bag for 8-10 rounds and lifting weights. Even though I got in better shape I'm in way better shape now than I've ever been, so I think I need to keep it up throughout the winter. I'd get up and run Frisco trail in the morning before school, come home and eat a nice protein breakfast. Then I'd lift in the school's gym after school and come home and do 12 rounds on the punching bag and start doing some speedbag work. I'd only lift Mon. Wed. and Fri. so on Tues. Thurs. and Sat. I'd run more instead of lift weights. Sunday = day off.
I need to find out more about the Silver Gloves competition I keep hearing about that takes place in Joplin sometime this winter. I've had people mention it to me when I tell them about me training for boxing, but I know nothing else about it.
In other news Sylvester Stallone's new movie, John Rambo was given a release date by Lionsgate. It's
supposedly coming out January 25th, 2008. That's sooner than the rumored/expected May 2008 release, but that can be good and bad. First off, it's good because we get to see Rambo sooner. However, January is known as the month that shitty movies come out...so people will either think, "Oh, January...must be crap" or "Yay, less competition". Another bad thing is that even though we have two awesome trailers for it, they're unofficial and R-rated, and there's no poster art or anything advertising this movie besides the internet buzz. But hey, maybe all Stallone needs is the internet to advertise his movie, it worked well for Rocky Balboa.
Here's another thing I'm worried about. Rocky Balboa made over $100 million, which is good, but it had a Christmas
release (which is the 2nd best release time for movies beside summertime), and it was rated PG, so it was available to a broader audience. John Rambo is rated R and you can see why from the trailers. Let's just say it is to action movies what Saw's violence was to horror movies. You have guys getting their guts and throats ripped out, and getting blown apart with .50 caliber machine guns. So it's obviously not the family film Rocky Balboa was. Maybe Rambo has a larger fan-base or something...but here's to hoping it's as successful as Rocky Balboa.
Well that's pretty much it I think. Now I'm going to have a nice large meal of nothing and watch some Chris Farley in Black Sheep.
Have a good day

Hills
So I'm pretty much getting bored of writing the same boring things over and over again, so I'm pretty much ditching my goal of trying to write everyday. For future reference: I fall asleep in AP Biography, AP Chemistry is hell on earth, Sociology is my funnest class, Adv. Math and Trig is meh, American Heritage is fun, Spanish 3 is fun, Current Events is an ice box, and CA 3 puts me to sleep like a bedtime story does to a little kid.
With that said I'll end this short and sweet. After school we had cross country practice. We did 4 gators (about 4.4 miles) and hills. Tomorrow we have our second real meet at Monett, which is the hilliest course, but I get out of school at 12:45 so it's all good. I came home, ate, and now I'm watching Not Another Teen Movie on VH1 because there is NOTHING on TV. I'll probably go play some video game that will make my life seem even more meaningless and less fulfilling.
From now on I'm going to try to make most of my blog posts more relevant to current issues or thoughts that are important to me, or if I have an unusually good or interesting day I will write about it.
Until next time, here's a funny video

Buffalo Wild Wings
It's been a long day; an exhausting practice, good day at school, busy concessions, and ending the day with some BBQ chicken.
Practice this morning was between brutal and moderate. We did Green Bays, which is where we use the football field and sprint 10 x 100 yards, 8 x 80, 6 x 60, and 4 x 40. After that we did hills, which left everyone heaving. This made breakfast more enjoyable. First hour and homeroom were pretty good. It would've been very good if Aleigha brought grapes like she was supposed to :P.
Second hour was good as well, but a little different. It was Spanish 3 so we checked out homework, and then spent the last 30 minutes talking only in Spanish. When it was my turn I understood what she was saying alright, but it was like being put on the spot light so I couldn't think of what to say. Third hour was boring, along with lunch and fourth hour.
After school I went and lifted weights, which was the only day I could do it this week with no school Monday and afternoon practice on Wednesday. It looks like our practice schedule is going to conflict with my weight lifting schedule, so I'm going to have to work around that...what a pain.
At 5pm Ryan and I went and helped at the concession stands for the Webb City vs. Carthage football game. We had to work the Carthage concession stand, which is way too small. Since it was a rivalry game we were constantly busy getting people their drinks, hot dogs, popcorn, and eventually got some pizza. I got chewed out by some little girl's mom for not giving her her change, which is complete bull shit. First, because I remembered her and her mom said she only ordered a popcorn, which was wrong, and that she gave my a $5 and didn't receive change. I'm 90% positive I gave her change, and almost as positive she got more than just popcorn. Also, if I didn't give her the change she needed it was because she walked off. That isn't my fault; so have a coke and a smile and stfu, I'll get your precious change. In case you're wondering Webb City won, of course.
I was excited to get a free food item and a free drink, so I got a Dr. Pepper and M&Ms. Nope, not a Reese's. I surprise myself sometimes, but I guess you could say I planned ahead and seeing as how M&Ms don't melt in your pocket like Reese's Cups, I chose the M&Ms instead. Ryan and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings after helping clean up everything. So now, since we've worked one concession we get one prom ticket free, and I'll be honest, I'm not sure if I'm even going to prom.
Anyway, Buffalo Wild Wings was pretty good. Took a while to get our food, but it didn't matter since hanging out and watching boxing on the TV helped time fly by. Let's see if I can remember everyone...nope, because if I can't name everyone I'm naming no one. Haha, don't know why. There were a lot of us there though, it was fun.
Well, I can't remember much else, because I'm pretty tired. It's 1:06am now so I'm going to watch 40 Year Old Virgin on HBO, and read Men's Health.

Man in the River
The day started off pretty good and ended great. We had a good school day, we had our Carthage meet, and then to end the day on a good note we ate fresh at Subway.
This morning was pretty good. Practice was at 6am instead of 545. I know what you're thinking, "Fifteen minutes....wow," but it really does make a difference. We ran the Webb City loop (3 miles) in easy mode and then got ready in time to go to FCA (Fellow Christian Athletes). I think today was the first day I didn't fall asleep in AP Biology; we did a lab, so I had to participate. AP Chemistry was pretty good as well. First off, our homework's due date got pushed back until Monday, and second, we had a substitute...Mr. Putman. He's a goof.
Sociology was good, of course, along with lunch. Advanced Math and Trig was good because I got to get out early for our Carthage meet. I got out of class at 1:45pm and was on the bus by 2:00. The bus ride over was relaxing. I listened to some music, and got a seat to myself so I could enjoy the ride to Carthage in full. I even listened to a song from Rocky, with was motivating :P.
Varsity boys ran first, so we went over the course, did our warm-up, and got ready. The meet was at the Carthage golf course, which means it was hilly. I'll be honest, after the first two miles I was ready to die, and my legs felt like they were going to explode. I pulled through, however, and finished 57th out of 90 some people (4th person to finish from Webb City), with a time of 21:54. Not my personal best, but I take comfort in knowing the course had lots of hills and I truly did run hard.
After the run we had four hours to just chill while the other divisions ran their races. For those who know me, you can probably guess where you would've found me...by the food. Yes, there were people who were selling food! So I got a piece of pizza, a banana, Doritos, and cookies. Then I went back and got another banana and an apple. After that I walked up and got a Gatorade and some peanut butter crackers. So I was pretty happy, with plenty of food and all. For the remainder of the time I just walked around with whoever from Webb City, wasting time.
Rogers pretty much stole the show at the awards ceremony, but this was my first real cross country meet so I really didn't care. After the awards were given out we packed up our tents (more like canopies) and had to carry everything back to the bus. These tents weighed at least 90 lbs and of course our bus driver decided to park the farthest away, so I got quite a workout while helping carry them back.
The bus ride home was good...just listened to some more music and for some reason this grabbed my attention; a man down in a river below the highway. All he was doing was fishing, but it looked like something in book or a postcard. We got back, unloaded all the stuff, and a few of us headed over to Subway.
I was first to order, thank God, because the guy working there was slow as hell. It was funny too, because at first it was just Ryan, Andy, and I that walked in, but then the rest of the cross country team started showing up one at a time and the Subway guy would say something like, "Oh great", or "Jeez, friggin' great"....lazy bum. All he has to do is make sandwiches and he complains when a few customers come in. He was so slow that people that came in behind us all started leaving...it was funny, but I guess you'd have to be there.
Well, that's pretty much my day. I'm going to take a muscle relaxer, have a good night sleep, and start the beginning of the last day of the school week off good.

Rain
Only one word or phrase can describe today....BLAH!
Woke up this morning at 5:20 after having the best night's sleep in two weeks, and knowing that this morning's cross country practice wasn't mandatory I really wanted to just go back to sleep. However, as I stood there contemplating whether I should plop back down on my comfy bed and sleep another hour or so, I thought to myself, "What would that accomplish?". So I willed myself to go to practice. It was alright; an easy 5 mile loop.
First hour was AP Biology, so I did the usual take-notes-in-my-sleep routine. I know I'm screwed when it comes time to take our first test in that class, because even though I have notes, most of the words are unreadable because I wrote them when I was more than half asleep. Guess I'll just have to bust a move the night before and hope I learn something.
AP Chemistry wasn't as bad, but it surely didn't make anything better. Mrs. Ray still seems to skip around a lot, and she somehow manages to hand out packets to the whole class without me seeing her do so, and then discusses the packet. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there, clueless, thinking "WTF is she talking about?!" Hmm....whatever. I have friends in that class that can help me out. I'm not saying I'm going to cheat or anything *cough*.
Sociology was fun as always. Mr. Burr adds an extra something to make that class fun; an X-factor perhaps you could call it. Plus lunch, my favorite subject. Although, I have to admit the protein bars are getting old, but hey, they're a nice meal replacement and I get my chocolate craving satisfied and protein.
Adv. Math and Trig isn't worth mentioning except for the fact that we got a butt-load of easy homework...which I like to call busy work. Here's where my day gets a little more interesting (emphasize the word "little", because this really isn't interesting at all).
After school cross country had it's mandatory practice, which today was a run-off. Everyone ran the 5k (3.1 miles, or something like that) course and whoever got in the top seven got to be on varsity and wear the nice, new blue uniforms. I ran my first mile in 5:50 and finished the third mile at 20:04 or something like that. Pretty good, considering that during that summer I ran the same course in 24:21, which means I shed four whole minutes off my 5k time. Coach Butler's goal, and my goal too, is to get our 5k time under 18 minutes. Very possible at this rate.
Well, anyway, I got 5th place on our team, behind Andrew, Anthony, Ryan, and Josh. So I get to run varsity at our Carthage meet this Thursday so I'm super stoked about that. However, it seems that sleeping with my air conditioning on last night has gotten me a small cold. A runny nose is the worst torture anyone who has to sit in class for 80 minutes at a time can have. Luckily it didn't get too bad until after our run-off. By the way, in case you're wondering how I got a cold from leaving the AC on all night; it's sort of broken so it just keeps going and going and going, like that stupid energizer bunny. So it just got colder and colder until I woke up at 430 this morning to turn it off. Sadly, I sleep tons better when it's cold, but I won't be leaving it on when I sleep for awhile as to allow myself to get over this damned cold.
Good news just popped into my head! No practice tomorrow before school, which means I get to sleep in and have a real breakfast (since I can't eat before I run). That also means I get to stay up a little later tonight without feeling guilty or dreading it in the morning. However, there is some bad news. You see, I've pretty much told you everything interesting and non-interesting about my day (mostly the latter), so I'm going to have to put an end to this blog post.

P.S. You're also probably wondering why the title to this blog is "Rain". Well it's simply because I love rain and it's supposed to have been raining since yesterday and guess what? No freakin rain. Just thought I'd add that little tid-bit.

Vaio
Let's see, today was a pretty boring day; very slow.
I woke up at 6am and got ready for our Cross Country practice at 7am. Today we ran a 6 mile loop; from the school we went up to McAurther (spelling?), to Main, and then stayed on that road past Robin Ridge and back to the high school. It was pretty easy, but I could've done better.
After that I came home and just kind of sat around, talking to people on MSN and such. Around 430pm I called Best Buy and got Geek Squad on the phone and I finally got my laptop to work on the internet. It's a nice, red Sony Vaio. I love it. I know I talk about materialism being bad, but this is an example of me falling victim to the evils of it :P. It just makes everything conveniant.

I did my Chemistry homework, which was easy but time consuming. Now I'm watching Halloween on ssupload.com. It's a neat site, but as I'm watching Halloween I notice that there are added scenes in this version compared to the theatrical version, and even an alternate scene that shows Michael Myers escaping from the psychiatric facility differently. I have to admit though, I liked the theatrical version was better.
Not much happened today, or yesterday for that matter, so I'm ending this blog short. Hopefully tomorrow will give me something to write about.

Death Sentence
A typical Saturday...pretty boring for the most part. Today actually had its moments but they'll be forgotten in about a week.
I slept in until about 9am, ate breakfast, did my thing, and got on the computer. My aunt gets a hold of me on MSN through my cousin's messenger and says my grandma is coming over and asked if I wanted too. With my cousin being gone at his dad's I was reluctant at first, but thought, "What the hell, I'm bored. Might as well."
My back was aching like that of an old man's from lifting those bricks after school yesterday, so I figured swimming would be good for it. However the water was freakin' cold! Now, I usually don't have a problem with cold water but today I guess it was too warm outside for the water to be so cold, so the extremes made me uncomfortable. Since I didn't really feel like swimming I just got one of the pool mats and fell asleep under the warm sun....and yeah, I got a sunburn on my chest and stomach, and since my arms were angled in it makes sort of a V-shape. I don't know if that's relevant, but it's my blog and I can write whatever I want, right?
After my nap we went shopping (ugh!). I guess it wasn't that bad; I got some new stuff, but w/e...it still kept me occupied. When we were driving out of Loma Linda my aunt was telling a story about their trip to Denver a couple weeks ago. She told my grandma how they were at some sort of mini-mall thing or something and my cousin turned and looked at this tall black guy, making eye contact. Here's what the black guy said, and I'm quoting, "What the fuck you starin at, little white bitch?" My uncle was smart and didn't say anything, my cousin laughed it off, and my aunt thought he was talking to some blonde chick walking their way. If I was there I would've flew off my hinges....eww I was pissed when I heard this! I could feel the fire burning inside me; reminded me of back in Tulsa and those kids down the street that always jumped everyone. So I went off into a little rant inside my head and continued to imagine what I would've done if I were there.
So after shopping we met my uncle Greg at Fudrucker's where I had one of the best chicken sandwiches I'd had in a long time. I pretty much just sat there and listened to the conversations that ensued. I don't know what it is, but for some reason my mom and grandma annoy the hell out of me. I seriously don't know what my deal is with them, but they're the only people I have very little patience or tolerance with...actually, I have zero patienct and tolerance with them. It's just weird.
After eating I got dropped off at the theatre and watched Death Sentece, a Kevin Bacon movie. Since I don't feel like telling what it's about I'll just tell you what Yahoo says:
"Nick Hume is a mild-mannered executive with a perfect life, until one gruesome night he witnesses something that changes him forever. Transformed by grief, Hume eventually comes to the disturbing conclusion that no length is too great when protecting his family"
I had a very mixed reaction leaving this movie. There were a lot of times where it wasn't believable and I never really got into it until the end where he opened up a can of whup-ass on everyone. I'm not a harsh critic, trust me...I usually leave a movie thinking "Oh I have to get that on DVD when it comes out," but I usually don't. This movie didn't have me thinking that, and although the storyline was good, it wasn't executed very well. So unless you've seen everything else or you're a huge Kevin Bacon fan, save your money and rent this on DVD when it comes out...which will probably cost more anyway since Blockbuster charges so damn much nowadays. Whatever, to each their own, but I recommend Halloween over this if you want to see people getting killed.
Well, have a good day/night, and here's the trailer to Kevin Bacon's Death Sentence

Halloween
Let me just say I know this is going to be posted on Sept 1st, but this is about August 31.
I could tell today was going to be a good day after coach told us he brought us donuts this morning. Our workout today was an easy 4.5 mile run on Frisco trail. It was pitch black, which was fun. Anthony, Coach B, and I were taking out all the spider webs with our faces. When we got to the point where we were to turn around an armadillo stood in our way, staring us down. We stopped running and three of us are just staring at this armadillo as it stares back at us; a draw...like in a good ol' western movie. The moment was ruined, however, whenever the armadillo realized we were actually there and the chicken shit ran off into the woods.
On the way back to the school I stepped in a small dip and almost hurt my ankle, but nothing would stop me from getting to those donuts calling to me from inside Coach's car. We got back, did our stretches, and indulged. I had two of the Little Debbie chocolate donuts and about six cake donut holes.
The shower was fun; singing Shout and some Backstreet Boys song thus filling the locker rooms with our beautiful voices got the coach yelling at us to be quiet...I personally think he's jealous. First hour was fun actually, and I guess I could say the same for homeroom. In second hour Spanish we got to play battle of the interpreters. It's a game where the room is divided into two teams and one person from each team faces off against each other. There's three categories: movies, television, and music. The teacher says a movie/TV show/band in Spanish and whoever says it in English first contributes one point to their team.
Let me just say our team dominated. I had four turns and took the first three, but the fourth I let the other team get out of good will. I mean come on, we won 28 to 12. I guess that just goes to show how a battle of the sexes game will turn out. Actually, it had nothing to do with that; I just know my movies and we had two native Spanish speakers on our team, so of course we won.
Third and fourth were boring so I won't even mention them...besides just now I guess I sort of mentioned them and how boring they were. Nevermind.
Anyway lunch was good for a red day. I sat with Andy Lane, a freshmen and Ryan Lane's little brother. Ryan and I are in the same grade and both him and his brother run Cross Country. Andy gave me his Granola Bar, which went well with my protein bar.
After school was fun. A few of us Cross Country guys went down on the football field to help with the landscaping. We got a new football field over the summer and it's looking good. Anthony and I arrive about 15 minutes before everyone else (Cole, Ryan, Livingston, and Drewskie). So we got to lift these 90lbs stones and make a wall for about half an hour, then we moved under the bleachers and leveled out the gravel with shovels. We didn't get paid, but I didn't care. I think Coach is taking us out for pizza sometime or something.
After than Livingston and I went into the Wellness fitness center, a small room with some weight lifting equipment. I stayed longer than he did, but I could tell he was bored. After my workout, which I'll admit I slacked a little bit, I walked a mile home.
When I got home I realized the grass was long, so I got the lawn mower out, filled it with gas, and proceeded to mow the SOB. Well, after the lawn mower died five times because it's an old p.o.s pansy, it finally wouldn't restart. So right now there's only the outline of a square mowed in our backyard...not too effective.

I pretty much wasted time until about 9pm when Aleigha picked me up. Her Durango just got out of the shop and it makes this funny noise; sounds like a little RC car when you're inside. We went to Starbucks and got Mocha Frappachinos, which were good. After Starbucks we went and saw Rob Zombie's Halloween, which was a cool revision of the old Halloween movie. It's defiantly more in-depth on how Michael Myers became Michael Myers, from being bullied in school and at home, to finally going psycho and killing everyone. Pretty bloody, but good. The ending was cool too. The only problem I had was pretty much every character in the movie had sex before they died, which is only the biggest cliche in any 1990's horror movie. Other than that it was a good film...take the kids, they won't forget it.
After that I was pretty hungry, so Aleigha was nice enough to wait in the drive-thru at Wendy's. I got my chicken sandwich, fries, and a frosty, which I saved for when I could sit in my comfy couch at home. It was good...very good; really hit the spot.
After I ate my food I started this blog...and here we are, all alone. Well, sorta, I'm alone...you may not be. This is sort of like that one Sandra Bullock movie, Lake House. To tell you the truth I haven't seen it and don't feel like writing what it's about, but if you've seen it and you have any idea on what I'm talking about then you'll get it. It's because I'm typing this now, and you're going to read this God-knows-when after I hit submit...but it's like I'm talking to you in the present.
Actually I'm just tired and need some sleep...so goodnight, unless you're reading this and it's daytime, then I guess good day. Wait, good day is more like a greeting isn't it? Whatever...
Have a good day/night...peace...and any other goodbye's I've left you with on these blogs,
Seal.
P.S. Here's some more Urban sports; something I want to do when I get bored enough someday:

Urban Sprinting
This morning started off pretty good. No morning practice so I slept in until 6:00 and took my time getting ready. The only downside was having to walk to school, which is a little less than a mile; not too bad, but having to carry a backpack and a gym bag can get annoying.
First hour was more boring AP Biology, but homeroom was pretty good. The school mandates that everyone read during homeroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but today the teacher was supposed to ask us about what we've been reading. Everyone pretty much had someone dieing in their book, including me; a guy starving to death in Alaska. Yes, I'm still reading Into the Wild, but only because I never have time to read...and it's a good book, I like to pace myself; one page per day is pretty good.
Second hour was just confusing. Maybe it was just me, but Mrs. Ray seemed lost. Third hour was good, with another fun lunch. I had my usual protein bar but decided to go crazy, so I brought a Gatorade to drink as well. Fourth hour was lame, wasn't really boring, but it wasn't not boring. I just sat there, waiting for it to end.
Our Cross Country practice was after school today, because the coach wants us to start getting used to the weather and it's been too hot. Tomorrow's practice, unfortunately, is in the morning, so no sleeping in tomorrow. Anyways, today we ran 7 llasos (have no idea to spell it. Pronounced like ya-so). It was a good workout; you run 2 laps in 3 minutes and run a recovery lap in 3 minutes, and you do that 7 times. Then we had our mile cool-down.
So I didn't get home until a couple hours ago (around 5pm) and had a bowl of cereal and the last two pieces of cinnamon toast, with some OJ. Then I snacked on some Hot&Spicy Cheez-It crackers. No homework, so I'm just going to sit here until I have to go to sleep. I'm sure there's something going on at the high school that I could go to, but all I know for sure is there are soccer and volleyball games. If I get bored enough I'll go watch a little, but I'm pretty tired from practice today.
Well, I can't wait for Friday aka tomorrow...I'll most likely write about it so you'll just have to wait. I know the anticipation is killing you to hear more about my life, but patience is a virtue.
Until next time here's a video on what I'd like to do somtime:

Well, I can't wait for Friday aka tomorrow...I'll most likely write about it so you'll just have to wait. I know the anticipation is killing you to hear more about my life, but patience is a virtue.
Until next time here's a video on what I'd like to do somtime:

Cross Country
Today was a good day.
This morning, however, I was more tired than usual; absolutely dreaded cross country practice this morning. Running Carl Junction Road wouldn't have been anything to complain about if we weren't having our practice meet later.
Today was the boring day, AP Bio, AP Chem, Advance Math and Trig. The only fun class was Sociology. I don't think anything worth noting happened; I'm usually detailed in my writing but I'm pretty pooped.
Lets see, after school I walked home without my stuff to eat before having to be back at the high school at 4:30. I ate a bowl of cheerios with oatmeal crunches (yum), two pieces of cinnamon toast, and OJ. It settled pretty well and didn't bother me at the run much, but that happens later.
I walked back to the school at about 3:30 and got dressed. I pretty much just hung out with a few other Cross Country runners until 4:30. At this point everyone is ready and we go outside to wait for the bus.....which never friggin came! Since we were running late we just decided to load up in a few cars. Which reminds me, Hance has the tent in his truck and I was in charge of that. Oh well, it isn't my fault he didn't go back to the high school.
So the race was a practice meet at MSSU. On the way there Ryan Lane cranked up Metallica and we listened to Enter Sandman and Sad But True with some good bass...which put me to sleep. We got there in about 20 minutes and warmed up. As for the race I completed my first mile in 6:13, my second mile in 13:03, earning me 22nd place. I got a side stitch at the end so I know I could have done better. After the practice we went to CiCi's, and I distinctly remember eating 3 cheese pizzas, 2 hamburger pizzas, 4 cheese sticks, and 12 powder-sugar coated brownies.....yes. They are very good.
After CiCi's I went with Ryan and his little bro, Andy, to drop Bethany off and go back to the high school. Luckily the locker room was still open so I got to get my stuff. I came home, did my Spanish homework using the online translator...and now I'm talking to my friend Dennis on phone and watching Wedding Singer again.
This blog wasn't the most interesting.
Now I'm gonna go to sleep so I can run good tomorrow morning,

The Wedding Singer
Tomorrow is our first Cross Country meet, but it's a practice so it'll be an easy 2 miles at MSSU. Today's practice was hard to describe...nice pace but we did 4 gators which is about 4.5 miles on all sorts of terrain.
First hour and homeroom were fun. Second hour Spanish was easy enough. Third hour, Mr. Warbington's Current Events, is hell frozen over. I guess the class is ok, but it's so cold I could chisel ice with my nipples...extreme? maybe, but on a more serious note it truly is hard to think with goosebumps that make your hair stand on end.
Fourth hour was English CAIII...so you know it was boring. Pretty much did the two-thirds asleep/one-third awake routine; you're eyes try their hardest to stay open and your heard keeps bowing down but you don't hear a damn thing. After school I went and lifted weights in the football player's weight room, and got our CC uniforms for tomorrow's race.
After my workout I talked to Lance and Roy in the cafeteria until about 5:00. We talked about how I should wrestle instead of boxing this winter, but I'm sticking with boxing. I showed them some self-defense moves in case they ever got into a fight, which was fun. I always like teaching people some things like that. Lance is afraid of Bethany Roy, let me tell you...I guess she hits hard or something (she wouldn't hit me), but I think it's just because she has small hands. The less surface area something has the more it hurts when it hits you (sometimes...I mean would you rather have a tire roll over your foot or a giant pizza cutter? Exactly). She got him good in the sternum. The volleyball girls brought in this big box on wheels (sorry I have no idea what else you'd call it), and Lance and Roy argued about what they used it for. The only way to figure out the truth was to find out for ourselves. So we went in and watched v-ballers play v-ball...and both of them were wrong on how they used it. We shot some hoops; I made a whopping one shot out of about ten (I know I suck at basketball), and then I went home.
I came home and here's what I ate: two PB&Js, two pieces of cinnamon toast, glass of milk, beef jerky, and Hot & Spicy Cheez-Itz. Then I had a bowl of cereal and a vitamin. So that's kept me full all day, and I should get some good sleep tonight.
I did my homework for AP Chemistry...and I would've rather tried to sandpaper the asshole of an alligator in a phone booth to be honest, it was horrible. So I got it done but with probably no correct answers. However, I was watching The Wedding Singer so things weren't too bad.
Well that was my day...pretty good overall.
Have a good day/night,

The Family of Seals
I'm pretty tired so this blog should be short in comparison to my others.
Today was a pretty good day. Woke up at about 9am and passed time until my dad picked me up at 3:00. We went over to Opolis where pretty much all the Seals live; Grandpa Seal, Grandma Seal, the Uncle Seals...you know, Seals.
Got to spend time with everyone so it was fun. As soon as I walked into Grandma and Grandpa's house there was Sassy, the half pit bull/half ugly-ass-somethin, which mauled me as I came in. I didn't mind, of course, in fact I probably just taunted it even more. I still have scratch marks up and down my arm, but that's the kind of dog I want when I get my own place. Had some fried chicken and kool-aid, the black man's dream meal if there is any. I then indulged in some of Grandma's delicious dessert. Don't know what it was exactly but it had chocolate and vanilla pudding with some cinnamon cracker crust. Lori and Whitney were taking pictures which I should be putting on myspace soon.
My bro, Jared came by with our sister, Crystal. Jared talked about how he was going to pay his mom and his friend's mom back for buying his plane tickets to Hawaii. Once he pays them what he owes he's planning on leaving for the US Marine Corpse sometime in January. That will be sad...not that he's pursuing his dreams and following through with his plans, but once he leaves it'll be worse than when he went off to Hawaii.
When Dad and Lori went up to Uncle Bill's I only tagged along for a few minutes before I decided to walk down to the park with my little sister, Erica. The park was boring, so I walked back up to my grandma's house where Jared and Crystal were on there way out. Jared and I exchanged fingers; brothers' love. Once I got inside the house my grandpa and I watched Future Weapons on the Military Channel. It was entertaining since I don't watch a lot of TV, but all those shows seem to have the same stuff on them.
On the way back we went to McDonald's and I got the 10-piece McNuggets. I had a problem with the drive-thru guy because he said he was "sorry for the wait"...we'd only waited for 15 seconds; he wasn't sorry...that bastard liar (/end sarcasm). The McNuggets were good, and it'll give me an incentive to work hard at practice tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, it'll probably be an easy day since we have our first practice meet at MSSU on Tuesday. I can't wait to wear those tiny shorts and awkward shirts...they make all the girls giddy from excitement. We actually get dollar bills shoved down our pants when we run by, kinda like a stripper.
Not really.
Okay, after the McNuggets I finished my Spanish 3 homework. Well, technically the free online translator did it for me, but it's all good...Mrs. Daugherty will never know :P. So now I'm writing the end of my blog and am about to go to sleep.
Have a good day/night,

Chuck and Larry
So I was pretty much bored all day; typical Saturday. No one wants to hang out with me so I ended up going to the theatre by myself, and here's how it went...
I get up to the ticket booth at about 6:40; there's nothing really to see. So I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry was going to start in an hour and I thought "What the hell, funny movie would be nice right about now." I paid for my ticket and now have a whole hour to waste, which I've become pretty good at.
As I walked in I could hear the clattering upstairs from the air-hockey machine all the kiddies were playing on and the usual chit-chat from all the other movie-goers. The snack bar was calling out to me, so I waited in line and finally got up there to get my medium Sprite and mini-Reese's cups. After I paid for my treats I went over to the glass area at the front next to the ticket booth to just observe.
It may not sound interesting to some people but if you sit and watch other people go about their business it sure does pass by time. You got all your stereotypes, the Hollister preps with their cute barbie doll girlfriends dressed in short skirts and looking like they're trying to fit into Hollywood or something; the family with the dad getting mad at the children for being children; the older couple who actually know how to sit and enjoy a conversation. I saw a little kid carrying a stuffed Shrek doll that was as big as he was with no parental supervision, just wondering around in his own fantasy world. One kid, maybe 14 or 15 years old, came up to me and asked if I could get him and his girlfriend into a rate-R movie. I assumed it was Superbad, which I would really like to see.
All of this and a sunset to accompany me while I waited. The hot-air balloons all over the sky made for some nice Kodak picture moments. Unfortunately all I had was my phone. I got a nice picture of a hot-air balloon floating in front of the sun, but my phone takes bad pictures so it's not worth showing off. Just something you'd have to see for yourself.
Finally, I go in to see my movie. I sit in the back where the two seats by themselves are placed with half my Sprite left and only 3 mini-Reese's. Also, let me just say that those mini-Reese's are not cool. First off you get the tricky little bastards that have two wrappers, and where one of the wrappers sticks perfectly to the edge of the Reese's so you can't feel it in the dark. Then you have the ones where the bottom half sticks to the wrapper so as to get the full Reese's experience you have to sit there and lick a wrapper the size of your thumb (if that), making yourself look stupid.
Alrighty, so the lights dim. Some crappy commercials and other movie trailers I've already seen are shown. The movie finally starts; and it actually made me laugh. From beginning to end this movie was good. Some of the humor was borderline PG-13 at times, but what can you expect from the 21st Century? Still, that didn't bother me none. Quite a few good cameos for any Adam Sandler fans who have seen his previous movies. I think this is one of the few movies where all the funny parts weren't given away in the preview. Even if this movie wasn't funny, Jessica Biel alone would be a reason to go.
Ving Rhames, the black guy from the Mission: Impossible movies was hilarious! And with Rob Schneider (Hot Chick) playing a Chinese priest and David Spade being flamboyantly gay this movie would be hard to pass up for anyone with a sense of humor.
So, basically, if you like to laugh go see this movie. But take someone with you, it makes it more enjoyable. Now I'm going to listen to music and wait for tomorrow to role around where I get to see my dad and hopefully have a better day.
Peace,
Seal

So Far...
Alrighty, it's now 5:36pm and I'm just getting home from school. After the bell released everyone from the depths of hell (some call it highschool) I went into the fancy weight room and did my thing. Seriously though highschool isn't that bad; certainly not bad enough to be compared to hell....for some anyway. Actually the worst thing at school is being bored or something, but I'd still rather be there than at home, and I'll explain that later.
Before I start let me just say one thing. I don't like whiners, complainers, negativity, etc. yet in my previous blog I was sort of hypocritical and during an orgy of self-pity I pretty much became all of the above towards the end. I was just bored out of my mind and it was getting to me :P. After thinking about it, it was dumb to complain, and pretty selfish. I have no one to blame but myself for my boredom, and putting it on others was rediculous. So from now on my blogs will stay positive :).
Okay, so after the bell I went and worked out which exhausted me. First because I'd only had roughly 180 calories throughout the day (provided through granola bars), and second because there are some good machines in there. I mean wow! I want some of that stuff. Looks like the coaches will be getting to know me a little better because I'm gonna be in there every Mon, Wed, and Fri.
Anyway, so I'm exhausted and decide to do my homework in the cafeteria so I don't have to carry my book home. It was boring math, but I got it out of the way. I put my stuff up in my locker, and decide to chill a bit. So I get myself a Dr. Pepper, which was the first carbonated drink I'd had since June 4th, the day we started Cross Country practice for the summer. I don't feel guilty about it, because it was oh-so good; a plethora of goodness. I then decided to read my book, Into the Wild, which I've only got three chapters left.
One of the reasons I stayed at school so long wasn't because I was getting into my book, which is a good book, but because I didn't want to come home and spend the whole day in front of the computer. And looky here, I'm doing it now. So I've only proved myself right that coming home means wasting my life away at the keyboard. At least I got my music to keep me company.
Another reason I stayed was because it started pouring down rain. Now, I love the rain, and the only reason I didn't walk home in it was because of my notebooks...my backpack isn't exactly waterproof. So finally at about 5:15 I departed the school and walked home. It was relaxing, the perfect weather for me. Sure, I like sunny days...but rainy days are just better for some reason. Maybe you can tell me why?
Now I'm gonna Quentin Tarentino this blog and go back to the beginning of my day.
Woke up at 4:30, the usual time I wake up. Had a granola bar and some milk, then got ready to run. We ran four repeat miles, which is where you run a mile as fast as you can, rest until you get your heart rate down, and repeat. My fastest time was 6:25...I'm not sure if I should be satisfied with that, but by the end of the season my goal is to shed a minute off of that time.
First hour and second hour were boring. Third hour, was different. Mainly because of Mr. Burr, my friends, and of course LUNCH. But again, all I had was a granola bar, so I bummed some grapes and chocolate chips from the girls I sit with. Fourth hour was math, and the only good thing about that class was that we had a substitute. Not that I have anything against Mrs. Adair, but I think substitutes switch it up a bit. Plus, ignorance is bliss, especially in the case of a math substitute because they never know wtf to do :P.
That's pretty much it. So I'm going to do nothing the rest of today and tomorrow (unless...well you know)...and then my dad is picking me up Sunday and I'm gonna hang with him and the family out in Opolis (spelling?); out past Asbury...I think that's Kansas.
Well that's it with my day. I think it's fascinating how I can turn such a pretty much eventless day into such a drawn out blog..but then again if you're reading my blogs you're probably just as bored as I am, thus reading my blogs just passes by time...which is good when you're bored.
OKAY, so now I'm gonna turn up the music, eat something, and find something interesting to do...which odds are will be a challenge. Peace out, everyone who reads this I hope you stop being bored and find something fulfilling to do with the rest of your day/night.

P.S. I'll probably blog every other day...and I'll try to mix it up a bit. Just talking about my day could get boring for those who don't really care but are reading them because they're bored. So check back every once in a while.

P.S. I'll probably blog every other day...and I'll try to mix it up a bit. Just talking about my day could get boring for those who don't really care but are reading them because they're bored. So check back every once in a while.

Today
Today was a pretty good day, at school anyways.
First hour, AP Biology, wasn't the best way to start the school day however. Boring, boring, boring and then homework. I fought to stay awake while the teacher talked about God knows what.
Homeroom....still bummed out from boring first hour.
Second hour, AP Chemistry, yet another boring class but I started to wake up. Also more homework.
Third hour, Sociology. I love this class. This is a subject I'm genuinely interested in. Right now it's just kicking off but I can tell it's going to be a good year, and next semester only gets better with psychology, something I'm even more interested in. Today we talked about culture and society and wrote a very small essay. Shame that's it's known as a "blow-off" class, so the teacher has to dumb it down for a lot of the other students. Then we had lunch, and that's always good. Had my protein bar, which I have to admit is getting old but it's fast and filling. Other than the food, lunch was a blast; the highlight of my day. Making people laugh is the best feeling in the world, and if I could just make someone laugh really hard everyday it would make everyday a good day. Today was one of those days. After that I got giddy like a schoolgirl and flew off my hinges just a little. I got pretty random which I hate because I feel stupid afterwards...oh well, I guess it's good to let the silly side out every once in a while. However, those who witnessed it will be lucky to see it again.
Fourth hour, ugh! Advanced Math and Trig...way to go me, you pick the worst class to end your day with. I'm good at math and all, but when you're good at something for so long it can get boring.
After school I was bummed out because the fitness center in our school wasn't open. I planned on doing my workout and then coming out into the cafeteria after most everyone had left and doing my homework so I didn't have to carry that damned 10 pound AP Bio book a mile home with my gym bag and other notebooks. So I just came home and worked out in my mediocre weight lifting set-up out in my 100 degrees plus garage.
All that was concluded by about 3:30 and since then I've been watching True Lies and doing little stuff on the computer to waste time. I really wish life was more filling at times, and I wish I hung out with my friends more. Thing is I should have my license...but I don't, and I don't ask to hang out with people because that includes burdening someone for a ride (maybe I'm too considerate). So I wait for people to ask me...but nope. I guess I can feel left out at times, but it sucks that I'm finally outgoing enough to have fun the last two years of high school and it seems as though they're gonna suck just as bad as the first two years. Freshmen year I pretty much got betrayed a lot, and lost faith and trust in friends and people in general. Sophomore year I was a quiet loner because of my freshmen year until about second semester when I realized Webb City isn't Tulsa. I'll give it time...soon enough my quiet, loner image will vanish behind the true me, which is resurfacing after about a year and half.
Life better get pretty damn exciting really quick though.
That's all for today; I'm tired of writing about stuff most likely no one will read,
